BINAY Viromaar Upper-Air UVGI Disinfector

BINAY Viromaar series wall mount Upper-Room Air Disinfection Units are designed to SAFELY apply germicidal UV energy for the disinfection of air in targeted high-risk closed areas and occupied spaces, thus eliminating maximum airborne viruses and bacteria, and creating a healthy breathing environment

Ultraviolet Indirect Air Disinfection fixtures provide powerful purification for upper-room air in occupied spaces, without compromising the safety of occupants. Installation of the BINAY Viromaar in the upper-room area reduces the risk of cross-infection and exposure to infectious airborne germs. This is a proven technology, which has been used in the USA for over 70 years for Tuberculosis (TB) control in hospitals, clinics, and shelters, as the TB pathogen is airborne.

Mechanism of Action Optimizes Safety of Human Occupants

UV lamps are installed into fixtures suspended from a ceiling or mounted on a wall at heights of at least 2.4m (8 ft) for effective operation and optimal safety of occupants. Fixtures are shielded with louvers to block radiation below the horizontal plane of the fixtures. The radiated UV light creates a germicidal zone in the upper portion of the room. Viruses and bacilli are transported to this germicidal region by normal convection and then inactivated or killed. Disinfection is achieved through the rapid continuous dilution of contaminated lower room air with clean irradiated upper room air. Occupants in the room are not exposed to UVGI light radiation.
